Description
An RGB amplifier (power repeater) mirrors the RGB controller’s PWM signal and adds extra power from its own power supply. Use it to run longer lengths or multiple branches of non-addressable RGB strips with even brightness and colour.
When to use
Your RGB strip run is longer than the controller’s limit (e.g., 10–20 m+).
You’re splitting into multiple pieces across a large room.
You want all sections to follow the same colours/brightness from one RGB controller.
(Amplifier works with an RGB controller; it acts as a “slave” device.)
Specifications
Working temperature: −20 to +60 °C
Supply voltage: DC 12–24 V
Size: 147 × 70 × 40 mm
Output: 3 channels (R/G/B), common anode (+)
Standby power: < 1 W
Max output current: < 8 A per channel
Max output power: up to 288 W at 12 V; up to 576 W at 24 V
Isolation: Optically isolated input/output (no common ground required between controller signal and amplifier)
Safety Information
-
Use 12–24 V DC only (do not exceed).
-
Shorting the output wires may damage the amplifier.
-
Observe correct polarity for power and load.
-
Indoor use only – not waterproof/weatherproof.
Note: For addressable LED (e.g., WS2812/SK6812), use a data repeater + power injection, not an RGB amplifier.
